Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services to patients, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography scans and other ultrasound procedures as required
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program
  • Registered Ultrasound Technologist with active registration with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiography Technologists (CAMRT) an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions
