Job Title: Tile Setter

Dumas Management and Consulting Inc. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tile
  • Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar and cement
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for tile installation projects
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall and floor designs
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile setting
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to handle heavy loads
