About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Casino Niagara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet Project Deadlines: Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner to meet project deadlines set by Engineering Managers, Supervisors, and Project Coordinators.
  • Follow Project Specifications: Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in accordance with project specifications to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Remediation and Repair: Conduct remediation and repair work on various interior and exterior surfaces, including drywall, textured millwork, ceilings, and ornamental metals.
  • Inventory Management: Inform Project Coordinators of inventory requirements to ensure adequate supply of working materials.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with Engineering Managers, Supervisors, and Project Coordinators to ensure departmental goals, timelines, and deadlines are achieved.
  • Painting and Wall Repair: Perform painting and wall repair tasks as directed by the Project Coordinator.
  • Deficiency Reporting: Identify and report deficiencies in the building to the Project Coordinator.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate a team approach, willing attitude, and positive approach towards assisting fellow team members.
  • Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication skills, demonstrating respect, regard, and consideration towards others.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy in performance duties.
  • Compliance: Adhere to compliance and workplace policies, internal control procedures, and AGCO directives.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment, including spray equipment, airless sprayers, and power tools.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Project Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Trade Experience: Ten years of trade-related experience and/or trade-related certifications.
  • Equipment Experience: Experience in using spray equipment, airless sprayers, and various power tools.
  • Decorative Finishes: Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of decorative and paint finishes.
  • Occupational Health and Safety: Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards.
