About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineering Coordinator to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and implementation of engineering changes, Continuous Improvement Initiatives, and projects that affect die tooling and stamping processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate die tooling work required for assigned engineering projects.
  • Establish and follow-up on full project implementation, including concept, feasibility, design, construction, try-out, launch, buy-off, and prototype programs.
  • Analyze, make recommendations, and provide technical support for the continuous improvement of divisional manufacturing projects and/or processes.
  • Ensure that any changes to Bills of Material, tooling, and/or stamping processes are communicated to the appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Assist the Business Development Department in developing die tooling costs, stamping processes, and other associated items for new product quotations.
  • Prepare reports, charts, timing schedules, and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.
  • Implement and practice APQP & CPMP procedures.
Requirements
  • Certified Tool and Die Maker.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medium to large automotive stampings and tooling.
  • 2-5 years of experience coordinating and managing projects related to press/die automation for medium to large stampings.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, VA/VE, CAD, and other automotive-related activities.
  • Proficient in Auto Cad related software and Microsoft Office.
