Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Toromont Cat. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair history and equipment performance data.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance or a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach.
