Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Toromont Cat. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Perform other routine maintenance
  • Repair and maintain equipment
Work Environment

As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. You will be required to work on the road and in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
