JADE BUFFET OF CHINA RESTAURANT LTD. is seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to oversee kitchen operations and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet customer demands and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals to order, ensuring food safety and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe kitchen.

Work Setting: Restaurant

Tasks:

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Manage kitchen operations.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)

Support for youths: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth

Langue de travail: Anglais
