Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Pebbles Daycare and Out of School Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Early Childhood Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our childcare programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. They will also supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in childcare programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3) certification.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Judgement and reliability.
  • Team player with a punctual attitude.
