Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at KIDS CAVE EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY LTD.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our early childhood programs, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of children in our care. This role requires a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, including observations and progress reports.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Basic security clearance, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check.
  • Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, ability to multitask, and quick learner.
