We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to fill a Long Term Occasional (LTO) position at St. Hilary Catholic School in Red Rock. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Indigenous language and culture to students in a Catholic education setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Indigenous language and culture to students in a Catholic education setting
  • Implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic Education
  • Integrate the Catholic Graduate Expectations and Seven Grandfather teachings within the curriculum
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Requirements:
  • Current membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications
  • Indigenous Language Instructor's Program
  • Fluency in Ojibwe, both oral and written (preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
