Job Summary

The Home Care Aide is a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide personalized care services to our clients. This role requires a compassionate and caring individual who can build strong relationships with our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including laundry, cleaning, and organization.
  • Accompaniment and Socialization: Accompany clients on outings, provide companionship, and engage in activities that promote socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders, administration, and documentation.
  • Transportation and Mobility: Safely transport clients to appointments, outings, and other activities, and assist with ambulation and mobility.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Certification: Hold a valid Home Care Aide certificate or equivalent, such as a foreign-trained nurse or nursing student.
  • Language Skills: Fluently speak, read, and write English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Training and Certification: Possess current CPR/First Aid training or be willing to obtain it.
  • Health and Safety: Have a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray, and be able to travel to various locations.
  • Technology and Communication: Have access to the internet and a mobile phone.
