Qualifications

Work Environment

The work setting is primarily within the employer's home, ensuring a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as needed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Encourage and assist clients in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Support clients during meal times, including feeding assistance.
  • Manage laundry and upkeep of household linens.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
Certifications Required

Applicants must hold the following certifications:

  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
Target Audience

This role focuses on providing support to individuals with disabilities.

Experience

Previous experience of 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role is preferred.
