About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a highly skilled Molecular Testing Associate to join our dynamic Testing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide process support and subject matter expertise to the HLA/Molecular Testing laboratories.
  • Establish, implement, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training material and educational sessions.
  • Liaise with other Canadian Blood Services departments to facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Monitor the quality control program and test performance through monthly reports.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
  • An appropriate Provincial Medical Laboratory Technologist License is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a HLA/Molecular Testing laboratory is preferred.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computer software Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment
  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday, regular business hours.
  • Travel requirements - occasional overnight travel required.
  • Physical requirements - ability to lift weight up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
