Testing Support Associate

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a highly skilled Testing Support Associate to join our dynamic Testing team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide process support to Testing sites by developing, preparing, reviewing, and maintaining work instruction forms and training materials to ensure consistency and standardization.
- Lead standardization and process improvement initiatives by supporting the effective implementation of initiatives at Testing sites.
- Participate in new projects or initiatives for Testing by providing input and assistance in the development of project proposals/plans, project related validation scripts, and decision documents.
- Provide technical support and information to Testing sites and Head Office departments to facilitate problem solving and resolution of issues or trends pertaining to methodologies or computer applications, manual and automated testing procedures, equipment or reagents associated with Transmissible Disease or Product Quality Control testing.
- Assist and participate in the continuous quality improvement activities for the Testing sites by establishing and implementing staff competencies to monitor site performance.
- Track, trend, and monitor the Transmissible Diseases and Product Testing quality control programs as well as test performance by developing KPIs and preparing monthly reports that may recommend corrective measures.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience working in a Supervisory or Charge Technologist capacity or extensive experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist where testing processes are being supported.
- An appropriate Provincial Medical Laboratory Technologist License is required (CSMLS/CMLTO).
- BSc. in Laboratory Science or Advanced Registered Technologist (ART) or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, analytical and planning skills required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are essential for presentation to all levels of employees.
- Computer skills are essential with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Programs including Access, Excel, Power Point, and Word applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
