The Payroll Manager Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll department at Pharmascience Inc. to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily operations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of various payrolls, including coordinating international payroll updates with third-party providers.
  2. Ensure compliance of operations with company policies, as well as federal and provincial regulations governing payroll processing and compliance.
  3. Resolve payroll discrepancies and handle payroll-related escalations, while conducting regular audits of payroll procedures and records.
  4. Manage group insurance and retirement plans (billing, enrollment, rate changes, renewals, system integrations, escalations, etc.), and oversee payroll year-end processing, including production of tax slips and annual declarations.
  5. Plan and manage team work to ensure timely processing and balanced distribution of payroll activities, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all payroll processes, and maintain internal and external client relationships.
  6. Develop and implement system and process changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while instilling a continuous improvement mindset, fostering a performance-based and learning culture that engages the team to achieve excellence.
  7. Support the implementation of various HR projects and lead by example in upholding the company's values and mission.

Requirements

To be successful as a Payroll Manager Director, you will need:

">
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll management, with strong knowledge of payroll software and systems.
  3. Excellent understanding of payroll regulations and compliance, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong leadership and team management skills, and ability to guide and direct teams towards common goals.
  4. Rigor, integrity, autonomy, and adaptability, analytical and synthesis skills, and the ability to innovate in finding solutions.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
  6. Experience with UKG and Kronos.

Compensation

">

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 depending on location and qualifications.
