Insurance Defence Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defence Legal Assistant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers and assist with various tasks related to insurance defence litigation.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including preparing documents, correspondence, and expense reports.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Prepare and generate pre-bills for monthly billing.
  • Arrange for travel, booking flights, cars, and hotel reservations as required.
  • Organize, maintain, and accurately file correspondence, invoices, and receipts via paper and digital formats.
  • Update records and support materials by transferring inactive files to storage according to file maintenance guidelines.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Clear understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Calendar.
  • Experience using Automated Civil Litigation.
