Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and security.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, employees receive a comprehensive health care plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
