Job Title: CPT/FCE Support Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPT/FCE Support Technician to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a key member of our Training and Development team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to our personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Training and Development Manager in overseeing and coordinating all support activity in the Cormorant Training Center.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for technical training instruction.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the CPT.
  • Compile course reports and prepare instructor notes for lessons.
  • Assess student progress and ensure all course material is up-to-date and current to RCAF Standards.
  • Liaise with 442 Sqn OTF and other stakeholders to ensure effective training delivery.
  • Conduct school instructor evaluations and analyze training problems to recommend corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain training equipment and ensure it is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the Standards cell and Leonardo Helicopters to ensure course material meets RCAF standards.
  • Assist in the development of new courseware and training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license, or be qualified as an aircraft aviation technician with the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude in diagnosing, testing, and repairing problems and issues with computer hardware and software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of training management and demonstratable skill in instructional techniques.
  • Ability to manage all administrative aspects of an aircraft training cell.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, avionics systems, and power generation and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Practices.
  • Advanced ability to use both standard and training computer programs and specialized instructional packages.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
