Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a key member of our Training and Development team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all support activity in the Cormorant Training Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Training and Development Manager in overseeing and coordinating all support activity in the Cormorant Training Center.
  • Develop and maintain course material, including instructional techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Provide pre-course packages and compile course reports.
  • Prepare instructor notes and assess student progress.
  • Ensure all course material is up-to-date and current to RCAF standards.
  • Liaise with 442 Sqn OTF and advise on training matters.
  • Conduct school instructor evaluations and analyze training problems.
  • Develop and maintain training specifications and courseware.
  • Assist in budgetary planning and management for the CTC.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
  • Strong technical aptitude in diagnosing, testing, and repairing problems and issues with computer hardware and software.
  • Background as a Technical Instructor in the Canadian Forces or equivalent level of management/technical experience in a commercial setting.
  • Five years of CH-149 operational/maintenance experience or operational experience as a Flight Engineer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of training management and instructional techniques.
  • Ability to manage all administrative aspects of an aircraft training cell.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, avionics systems, and power generation and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Advanced ability to use standard and training computer programs.
