Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Advice Centre Analytics team, you will play a critical role in consolidating and enhancing our monthly and quarterly business performance reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of business performance reports, covering all aspects of our channel's balanced scorecard, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and data enablement teams to gain a deep understanding of their needs and challenges, and identify potential opportunities and risks to the business.
  • Design and implement impactful data visualization and dashboards that effectively communicate findings, enabling the business to make informed and timely decisions.
  • Utilize analytical skills and business knowledge to identify drivers and root causes of business results, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver timely and value-added insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management, across multiple business lines, products, and channels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, employee engagement, and optimize multi-channel capabilities, while driving operational efficiencies.
  • Understand the interrelationship of activities and desired performance to identify influential levers to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Engage in national initiatives and projects to drive strategic decisions and changes, including data analysis, modeling, and deep-diving for insights.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with business teams to drive data-driven decision making.
  • Technical proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL, or similar), statistical analysis, data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), and strong technical ability with MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Business acumen, including the ability to understand business challenges, translate them into data-driven questions, and communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask, and time management are critical.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Canadian Banking Operations or Advice Centre experience.
  • Personal and Commercial Banking experience.
