Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Lake Shore & Leslie – Store 654. As a key member of our Service Centre team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth flow of communication, and providing a complete solution to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure ongoing commitment to customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
  • Understand customer needs and provide a complete solution.
  • Share ideas and suggestions to improve the customer experience in the Service Centre.
  • Manage customer concerns and problems promptly.
  • Deal with challenging situations in a professional manner.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of communication with customers during repairs or maintenance work.

Operations:

  • Complete and review repair orders with customers.
  • Estimate cost and time for service and repairs needs.
  • Ensure final invoice is the same as estimate and vehicle is delivered on time.
  • Act as liaison between customers and technicians and manage the status of work orders.
  • Schedule service and repair appointments.
  • Operate computerized work order systems.
  • Engage in learning activities and coaching to improve their own abilities.
  • Share potential opportunities or suggestions with the Service Manager to help the Automotive Service Centre be more profitable and to increase sales.
  • Comply with company, store, and department policies and health & safety program and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components of automobiles.
  • Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
  • Basic math and keyboarding skills.
  • Good working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
  • Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre, is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license for the province of employment.
