About the Opportunity

Pinchin Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Lead to join our team in British Columbia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned construction professional with strong leadership and project management skills to lead our projects in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, including pre-construction and contract closeout activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans and budgets
  • Determine and define scope of work and deliverables, advising on constructability
  • Participate in project meetings with contractors and consultants
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, ensuring successful project outcomes
  • Manage costs effectively to meet budget requirements
  • Oversee contracts and subcontracts, demonstrating a deep understanding of contract types and strategies
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, managing construction schedules and activities
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders regarding costs and timelines
  • Select and manage subcontractor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating efforts across projects
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing proposal submission documents
  • Coordinate work with regulatory bodies and utility companies
  • Monitor contractor safety programs and ensure compliance
  • Onsite construction management to oversee subcontractor activities in BC and Alberta

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent project experience
  • 7+ years of experience in project delivery within the construction industry, including pre-construction and contract closeout activities
  • Desirable: experience with Demolition, Civil/Excavation, Retrofit, Restoration, and/or Tenant Improvement projects
  • PMP designation or equivalent considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and general computer software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Strong leadership and management skills
