About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Partner to join our Equity and People team at Vancity. As a key member of our team, you will partner with Executive leadership teams to design, implement, and lead the strategic people plan for their divisions and a roadmap to deliver on key organizational competencies.

You will work closely with the People Analytics team to leverage key data to provide insights for the development of short and long-term strategies to enhance the employee experience at Vancity. Your expertise in organizational design within an enterprise environment will be invaluable in supporting the various lines of business to design organizational structures and processes that enable agility, innovation, and creativity.

You will also support leaders to create work environments where diverse backgrounds, culture, and attributes are celebrated through collaboration with experts and stakeholders in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Reconciliation. Your ability to manage change for organizational restructures within the divisions and partner with enterprise change as needed for cross-divisional work will be essential in driving transformational change.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring Equity and People Leadership is informed of major initiatives impacting our people and programs within lines of business. You will also partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis department to manage annual position planning and budget maintenance.

As a Business Partner, you will develop Consultant talent through mentorship and exposure to key initiatives. Your ability to collaborate with all other functions and teams of the Equity and People division to ensure the right information is shared at the right time for successful implementation of key initiatives and communication will be critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Executive leadership teams to design, implement, and lead the strategic people plan for their divisions and a roadmap to deliver on key organizational competencies.

Requirements:

  • Robust experience providing strategic support and coaching to Executive level leaders.
  • Experience influencing across organizations, engaging stakeholders to drive transformational change.
  • Expertise in organizational design within an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated success implementing programs which have positively impacted culture and employee experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within large HR teams.
  • Experience leading collective bargaining process is an asset.
