Liquor Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic direction to our liquor business unit, ensuring alignment with our organization's goals and objectives. This will involve developing and implementing business plans, budgets, and forecasts to drive growth and profitability.

Leadership and Team Management:

You will be responsible for leading a team of liquor professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success. This will include recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members, as well as conducting performance reviews and salary administration.

Customer Service and Relations:

You will work closely with customers, reports, and executives to demonstrate the Pioneer Co-op brand in all locations, providing exceptional customer experiences. This will involve developing and implementing marketing programs, merchandising strategies, and member analysis to drive sales and growth.

Inventory Management and Control:

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels and addressing any discrepancies. This will involve working with customers, reports, and executives to resolve issues and ensure consistency and accuracy.

Health and Safety:

You will work with the Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure Health and Safety policies are being enforced and work with Health and Safety to ensure compliance with regulations.

Asset Protection:

You will be responsible for asset protection of inventory, ensuring that all liquor locations are completing and reporting accurate inventory.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail management and supervisory experience
  • Experience with wine, spirits and beer in a retail setting
  • Related education and/or a strong business background preferred
  • Willing to obtain Serve it Right Saskatchewan Certification
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Able to work a variety of shifts and be available for after hour emergencies
