About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Culinary Artist to join our team at Humber Meadows Food Services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity and passion for food preparation.
">Job Responsibilities:
">- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to standardized recipes and production guidelines.">
- Set up workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment.">
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.">
- Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives, and operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.">
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.">
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.">
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.">
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.">
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.">
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.">
- Ensure security of company assets.
Requirements:

- Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.">
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.">
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification.">
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.">
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Benefits:
">This role offers a competitive salary of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
