The successful candidate will be compensated with a salary ranging from $30.03 to $37.82 per hour, reflecting the value they bring to our organization.

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Southern Health-Santé Sud, you will play a vital role in supporting clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health. You will apply the nursing process to deliver person-centered care within various settings, including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home, Primary Care, Public Health-Healthy Living, and Home Care.

You will work to the full scope of your practice, engaging in ongoing education and maintaining competency congruent with our policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. You will also require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

A key requirement is current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in both official languages for designated positions.

Other essential qualifications include knowledge of professional standards, demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative environment, establish positive working relationships, and lead autonomously. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth are also essential.

This role requires the ability to travel to other regional facilities, as necessary. A valid Class 5 driver's license, all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00 are also required.
