About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at JC's Grill House. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Cost Control: Analyze and control costs associated with food, beverages, and supplies to optimize profitability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best possible deals.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure seamless execution of banquets and events.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and providing excellent customer service.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to ensure the success of the team.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
