Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and provide comprehensive primary care services.
Responsibilities- Examine patients and take their medical histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Consult with and refer patients to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations as necessary.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related incidents to public health authorities.
This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and services.
Qualifications- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
