We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Physician to join our team at Richmond Family Practice in Halifax. As a Family Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the growth and development of our practice.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient examinations, take accurate medical histories, and order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures as needed.
- Provide expert advice on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention to patients.
- Consult with other medical practitioners to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations as required.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related incidents to public health authorities.
This is a full-time position, with a 1.0 FTE schedule.
QualificationsTo be eligible for this position, you must be licensed to practice medicine in Nova Scotia and certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
You must also be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
