A family medicine physician is sought to join a clinic in the Clayton Park area, part of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. This clinic is centrally located and offers a convenient work environment with a short commute to schools, stores, and shopping centers.
Responsibilities- Examine patients, take their histories, order diagnostic tests, and advise on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Consult and refer to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and provide support.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health concerns as required by Nova Scotia Public Health.
Full-time, 1.0FTE position available.
Qualifications- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
