About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Neighbourly Pharmacy in Windsor, ON. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks, including prescription processing, medication dispensing, and inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to regulatory guidelines and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents, as well as processing insurance claims and coordinating prescription transfers.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve operational goals and objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy assistant program or relevant healthcare certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks, such as medication counting and labeling.
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy software systems.

Working Conditions

  • This is a part-time position, with standard work hours typically ranging from 20 to 24 hours per week.
  • The position may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting/moving of moderate-weight boxes or containers.
  • Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the operational hours of the pharmacy.
