About the Role

Mondelēz International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Marketing Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate & Legal Affairs Department, you will provide critical support to our VP-Chief Counsel Global Marketing & Media and other global functions related to marketing, media, and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to global marketing and media initiatives, including contract review and negotiation, project management, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement global frameworks and best practices for marketing and media initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global marketing, consumer experience, procurement, and digital services, to drive business growth and success.
  • Manage and resolve disputes with commercial business partners related to marketing and media, taking leadership and project management responsibility for same.
  • Identify and propose solutions for legal training needs and requirements, recommend process introductions/amendments to address new developments, and develop and deliver trainings.
  • Keep the global team, stakeholders, and CLA abreast of significant decisions, legislation, and governmental regulatory rulings that may affect the company's business or policy.

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited school and top academic credentials, and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction where the company operates.
  • 3+ years of experience in intellectual property, marketing, and media law.
  • Excellent management skills, business judgment, and ability to make decisions and give advice that demonstrates an understanding of overall business objectives and the risks/rewards of each situation.
  • Strong research and writing skills, leadership skills, and ability to think and work strategically.
  • Impeccable professional and personal integrity.
  • Demonstration of ability to communicate effectively with a non-legal audience.
  • Related substantive understanding and experience with social media, marketing, media, production, and commercial transactions, Gen AI, and MarTech.
  • Prior CPG experience preferred.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as well as cope with stressful situations and deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.
