Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Covering Installer to join our team at H&A Contractor Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, preparing detailed flooring plans and schedules.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a high level of finish and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough tests to ensure the floor is suitable for installation, including moisture, pH, and temperature checks.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in hardwood floor installation, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working at heights.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40-44 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of locations, including residential settings, and will be comfortable working in a dusty environment.

Language

The primary language of work is English, with the ability to speak Portuguese an asset.
