Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team at Drake International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inventory tasks, including cycle counts, location verification, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with the leadership team and coordinators to ensure seamless operations.
  • Process inbounds and returns in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with customers to resolve food quality issues and investigations in a timely manner.
  • Assist in scheduling inbounds for shifts based on workload, ensuring optimal inventory management.
  • Investigate and resolve warehouse inventory issues and variances, performing root cause analysis and completing applicable adjustments.
  • Handle product damages and monitor damage and donation areas, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain daily metrics, cycle count trackers, and monthly client performance reports, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual quality and inventory events, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform empty Chep pallet count audits, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Coordinate food bank donations and product disposals, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and community involvement.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a food-grade distribution center.
  • Understanding of overall quality benchmarks and process flow of goods.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills in all Microsoft applications, with analytical and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational ability and time management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to perform detailed analysis and investigations, with a commitment to inventory quality.
  • Familiarization with a warehouse management system and RF in a distribution center setting, with a strong understanding of safety in the workplace.
  • Background in quality management programs such as HACCP, AIB, and BRCGS is an asset.
