Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Tokyo Express St. Albert. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Load and unload dishwashers, wash dishes by hand, and store them properly
- Restock condiments, supplies, and cleaning products
- Prepare and heat simple food items, portion, and wrap foods
- Take orders from customers and assist with food preparation
- Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including floors, cupboards, and appliances
- Handle and store cleaning products safely
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain kitchen equipment
As a Kitchen Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements:- Will train on the job
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
We offer a permanent position with 30 to 44 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
