Akur8, a rapidly growing Insurtech startup, is seeking a Cybersecurity & IT Specialist to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of Akur8's IT infrastructure and data.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of security best practices, industry regulations, and compliance frameworks. They will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, integrating security measures into ongoing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
This role requires strong communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical and functional matters with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience in Information Security and a deep understanding of Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Security Compliance, and Security of SaaS Applications.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other industry regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for new projects.
- Integrate security measures into ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Lead training sessions to educate employees on security best practices.
