About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse client groups across Southern Ontario and the Capital region. You will provide consultation, assessment, and planned interventions to help clients achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose clients in all age groups through the selection and administration of standardized and non-standardized tests.
- Identify and teach self-management strategies to help clients recognize and avoid unsafe situations.
- Discuss clinically significant information with physicians or other appropriate members of the healthcare team.
- Assist in client discharge planning in conjunction with the client, family members, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive written documentation of client care in accordance with existing legal, professional, and VHA standards.
- Masters Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology.
- Membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
- Eligible for membership in the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Minimum of two years clinical experience and knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
