Job Title: Operating Room Technician

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Technician to join our team in the OR Level III, an exciting and dynamic 18-theatre Surgical Suite Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.
  • Perform scrub and circulating duties, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • At least one year of current experience in an adult OR environment with demonstrated scrub and circulating skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Perioperative Nursing course.
  • Experience in a level 1 trauma center.
