Business Analyst Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst in our Capital Markets Finance team, you will play a crucial role in defining business specifications for new solutions and integrations, developing test plans, and upgrading applications.



The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of investment business processes, experience maintaining and supporting investment applications, and excellent analytical and project work skills. You will be responsible for acquiring detailed knowledge of business uses of applications and services, providing proactive application support, and contributing to approved projects in business system analysis.



Key responsibilities include:





  • Developing test cases, implementation plans, and defining workflow solutions, controls, standards, and naming conventions within applications.

  • Providing support to users in the development of new reports and in the resolution of reporting and other data issues.

  • Assuming responsibilities in project activities, including the definition of business requirements, design and implementation of system interfaces, testing, documentation, upgrades of investment applications, data conversions, and reconciliations.

  • Developing user manuals, application documentation, and application training programs.



Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you will need:





  • University degree in Computer Science & Mathematics, Commerce & Finance, Engineering, or equivalent industry-related business experience.

  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience as a Business/Systems Analyst with exposure in relevant investment systems implementation activities.

  • Demonstrated project skills and experience in all phases of solution development life cycle.

  • Experience in defining, implementing, and supporting investment business solutions.

  • Experience in investment business operations with a thorough understanding of trading and portfolio accounting.

  • Experience with developing integration between investment applications and development of data feed interfaces is beneficial.

  • Experience in Front Office Trading Applications, as well as middle/back office applications, is beneficial.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets, with intermediate skills in Macros, pivots, real-time links/queries.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to facilitate the implementation of application systems to meet business objectives.

  • Ability to multi-task effectively in fast-paced, multiple project environments.

  • Knowledge of the investment lifecycle and data domains for exchange traded and OTC products, including exotic instruments.
