About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst and Business Analyst to join our Investment Solutions Group at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving product direction and delivery within the Risk Technology team. This involves thoroughly investigating and analyzing requirements from clients and Product Owners, establishing and executing project plans, and working closely with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Steer product direction and delivery within the Risk Technology team by analyzing requirements from clients and Product Owners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Solution Architect to develop and realize the product vision for trading applications.
  • Develop and deliver complex Risk solutions spanning various asset classes, such as Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives, FX, and OTC products serving Risk Managers, Finance, Portfolio Managers, and Reporting.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key business partners, capturing requirements, prototyping solutions, conducting demos, testing, and providing support for final deliverables.
  • Collaborate with business teams across the front office, back office, and risk division to understand their trading needs thoroughly and document their requirements for the team to refine and develop robust solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within Capital Markets (Banks, Asset Management Firms) in risk measurement, reporting, statistical analysis, and quantitative work.
  • A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.
  • A CFA or FRM designation is a plus.
  • Professional background in Technology, Financial Risk Management, and/or Quantitative Finance.
  • Understanding of Investment Product knowledge.
  • Proficiency in at least one of portfolio theory, Investment strategies, and pricing theories.
  • Experience working with IT analysts and developers to produce solutions.
