Senior Business Analyst and Business Analyst, Investment Solutions Group

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts to join our team in developing projects across the trade, portfolio, and financial risk management lifecycle. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will steer product direction and delivery within the Risk Technology team by thoroughly investigating and analyzing requirements from client and Product Owner, establish and execute project plans while working closely with development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Direction and Delivery:
    • Develop and execute project plans while working closely with development.
    • Steer product direction and delivery within the Risk Technology team.
  • Risk and Valuation Solutions:
    • Analyze and deliver complex Risk solutions spanning various asset classes.
    • Learn, support, and enhance existing Risk and Valuation solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key business partners.
    • Capture requirements, prototype solutions, conduct demos, test, and provide support for final deliverables.
  • Innovation and Technology:
    • Research and introduce new and innovative Risk and Technology ideas.
    • Evaluate market software to determine if vendor solutions align with trading business needs.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Collaborate within an agile mindset, fostering considerable amounts of collaboration, learning, and flexibility to achieve high-performing results.
    • Provide timely support for business teams when anomalies occur or inquiries arise.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within Capital Markets (Banks, Asset Management Firms) in risk measurement, reporting, statistical analysis, and quantitative work.
  • A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.
  • A CFA or FRM designation is a plus.
  • Professional background in Technology, Financial Risk Management, and/or Quantitative Finance.
  • Understanding of Investment Product knowledge.
  • Proficiency in at least one of portfolio theory, Investment strategies, and pricing theories.
  • Experience working with IT analysts and developers to produce solutions.
  • Technical aptitude, including Python, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation and interviewing skills.
  • Visual proficiency.
  • Quality Assurance mindset.
  • Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Self-motivation, focus, and ability to deliver with minimal direction.
  • Strong people leadership attributes.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and ability to prioritize assignments within a dynamic team.

Nice to Haves:

  • Understanding of IT principles such as databases, functions, UI (User Interfaces), business rules, and software systems.
  • Knowledge of basic Investment Risk fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of third-party systems such as Simcorp Dimension (SCD), HANA, and Snowflake.
