The Vice President Business Development role at Buckland presents a unique opportunity to drive growth, expand market share, and enhance customer experience in the global trade industry. This key leadership position will oversee the development of business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and ensure alignment with company goals and strategic vision.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience and Retention: Ensure exceptional customer service and support, aiming for high customer satisfaction and retention while measuring, monitoring, and improving delivery. Develop service policies and procedures that enhance customer support and streamline operations.
  • Sales Strategy and Market Expansion: Create and execute comprehensive sales, marketing plans, and pricing strategies meeting and exceeding company revenue and sales targets. Collaborate with the leadership team to align business development initiatives ensuring strategic alignment and effective execution sustaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Operational Efficiency & Innovation: Review, improve, monitor, and optimize department key performance indicators. Identify areas for continuous improvement and employee training by providing regular feedback. Oversee budgets for business development department ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field of study. Postgraduate or Professional designation is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a senior leadership role within the Customs Brokerage and/or Logistics industry or service industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.

This position offers a competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as benefits, opportunities for professional development, and a chance to be part of a growing organization. The ideal candidate should have direct experience with CRM systems and workflows, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, outstanding communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated expertise in negotiation, fostering commitment, and achieving impactful outcomes.
