Job Overview

CARFAX is a leading provider of vehicle history reports and other automotive services. We are seeking an experienced Information Security Director to lead our cybersecurity efforts.

Estimated Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 per year

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our overall cybersecurity strategy, managing our security operations team, and ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our cybersecurity strategy and roadmap
  • Manage our security operations team and ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize security initiatives
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee incident response and management activities
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve our security posture
  • Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technology and information security, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Strong security working knowledge of network & web application firewalls, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, system hardening, cloud security, and identity and access management
  • Strong security architecture & engineering experience (cloud & on-prem)
  • Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, standards, and best practices (NIST, ISO 27001)
