Real Estate Transaction Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Transaction Manager to join our team in Montreal, QC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactions management and excellent communication skills.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing capital and lease transactions with high proficiency, developing and executing real estate strategies that support clients' core business objectives, and collecting client requirements and market data. They will also oversee site selection and site evaluation, create requests for proposals (RFP's), draft and negotiate letters of intent, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and prepare approval packages for client senior management.
Responsibilities
- Execute capital and lease transactions with a high level of proficiency and knowledge ensuring seamless communication, consistent follow up and reporting, and timely execution.
- Develop and execute real estate strategies and transactions that support the Client's core business, plans, and objectives.
- Collect client requirements, obtain market data, review market reports, retain real estate broker partners nationally & internationally, oversee site selection and site evaluation, create requests for proposals (RFP's), draft and negotiate letters of intent, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and prepare approval packages for client's senior management.
- Develop occupancy cost savings strategies, develop and evaluate alternative occupancy solutions and financial structures and refine existing transaction processes and procedures.
- Assist client in completing a large number of transactions annually and independently execute lease and capital transactions of all types and sizes while adhering to Jones Lang LaSalle's and the client's processes and standards for expertise and professionalism.
- Develop, implement, streamline and improve client and Jones Lang LaSalle processes underlying flawless transaction execution.
- Review Transaction related documents as part of due diligence process.
- Prepare commission invoices and track payment.
- Partner with other Jones Lang LaSalle offices to monitor progress of transactions and projects.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data.
- Participate in opportunities to develop new business with Account Directors and other key stakeholders.
- Assist as mentor, coach, train, onboarding of new Transaction Managers, as required.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both French and English required.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant transactions management experience; experience covering multiple Provinces and regions preferred.
- Commercial brokerage license required.
- Accredited or progress towards professional designations preferred (MCR, CCIM, SIOR, LEED, CLO).
- Experience working with corporate clients to achieve real estate objectives.
- Proven skills in contract review and lease/purchase and sale negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of real estate leases and accounting are imperative.
- Proven ability to work within a team consisting of dedicated and variable TM Manager and Analyst level resources.
- Ability to work in a hybrid fashion with approximately three days per week in an office.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
