About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our Hardgoods team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and leading a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a daily sales plan to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive sales growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and drive growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and lead a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and driving sales growth.
