Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.

The organization delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.



Main Function:

The Mental & Addictions Resource Education Facilitator will work with a team to develop and deliver evidence-based, culturally safe information, support and programming to target groups and the public.

This includes community-level health promotion, community capacity building, substance misuse, overdose and suicide prevention within a recovery-oriented approach.

This role will support and consult with teachers and school staff to development mental health and addictions school content and support groups.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver evidence-based, culturally safe information, support and programming to target groups and the public
  • Support and consult with teachers and school staff to development mental health and addictions school content and support groups
  • Work with a team to develop and deliver community-level health promotion, community capacity building, substance misuse, overdose and suicide prevention within a recovery-oriented approach



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of direct experience working within mental health and addictions promotion and prevention with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health promotion, harm reduction, community development, program development and coordination, and population support and education
  • Knowledge and experience with therapeutic modalities such as CBTm and DBT
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivering training both in person and virtually
  • Strong group facilitation, training and mentorship skills
  • Evidence of knowledge and experience in the principles of adult education
  • Experience in working effectively with a diverse range of groups including professional groups, workplaces, advisory groups and community-based organizations
  • Experience and ability in development and maintaining excellent working relationships with a broad range of individuals and organizations, including the ability to facilitate, collaborate, and resolve conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate partnerships for program development and delivery
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program planning and project management



Salary Range:$36.71 - $50.63 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
