Role Summary

The National Disability Tax Credit Specialist will work with eligible working age individuals with disabilities across Canada to assist in their obtainment of the Disability Tax Credit Certificate. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary assistance and support to help clients navigate the DTC application process.
  • Serve as a resource to both the Indigenous and non-Indigenous sectors of Canada regarding the DTC and its importance.
  • Assist eligible individuals and families in fulfilling the necessary requirements of the DTC through direct service, collaboration with external service providers, and referrals.
  • Liaise with medical professionals and nurse practitioners to obtain relevant information for the DTC application process.
  • Maintain individual DTC client files and case notes in both hard copy and electronic forms.
  • Collaborate with federal, provincial, and territorial disability government programs to obtain relevant information for the DTC application process.
  • Stay informed about changes to the DTC application process and eligibility criteria.
  • Provide accessible DTC information and CDB eligibility requirements to eligible individuals, families, organizations, and communities across Canada.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, funding partners, and associated agencies as required.
