About the Opportunity:

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of cleaning and organization throughout the facility, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Perform various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, as well as restocking supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure seamless facility operations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including WHMIS and first aid/CPR certification.

Requirements:

  • Strong practical knowledge of cleaning procedures and standards.
  • WHMIS certification.
  • Physical readiness to work.
  • Emergency training.
  • Current first aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs.
