About the Role

The YMCA of Simcoe-Muskoka is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of cleaning and organization throughout the facility, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and report any issues to the facilities team.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • WHMIS certification and other relevant training an asset.
