About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cleaner at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe condition at all times, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, as well as restocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and perform tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless facility operations.
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation and regulations, including WHMIS and Health and Safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Strong practical knowledge of cleaning procedures and standards.
  • WHMIS Certification.
  • Physical readiness to work.
  • Emergency Training.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs.
